2025 MINISTRY EXAM PREPARATION
If your child is writing the Secondary 4 Science exam, we've gathered everything you need to know—exam dates, format, allowed materials, and helpful review tools—to support a smooth and confident exam experience.
Exam Information
Exam Date
The 2025 Ministry Science and Technology (ST) and Applied Science and Technology (AST) exams will take place on June 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Objectives
The Science and Technology (ST) exam includes:
Section A: 15 multiple-choice questions (60%)
Section B: 5 constructed-response questions(20%)
Section C: 5 technological analysis questions (20%)
The Applied Science and Technology (AST) exam includes:
Section A: 15 multiple-choice questions (60%)
Section B: 4 constructed-response questions (16%)
Section C: 6 technological analysis questions (24%)
For Section C, your child will watch a classroom video explaining how a technical object works. Technical drawings will also be provided.
Permitted Materials
On exam day, students are allowed to use:
- A ruler
- A calculator (with or without a graphic display)
