Exam Date
The Secondary 4 Ministry Mathematics – Cultural, Social, and Technical Option (CST) exam will take place on June 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Objectives
The exam is divided into three sections:
- Section A: Multiple-choice questions (24 points total)
- Section B: Short-answer questions (16 points total)
- Section C: Situations involving application (60 points total)
All three math options (SN, TS, and CST) cover the same three domains, but the CST option has a different emphasis. Here’s how the points are generally distributed:
Arithmetic and Algebra: 34% à 42%
Probability and Statistics: 10% to 14%
Geometry: 46% to 54%
Permitted Materials
On exam day, your child will be allowed to use the following materials:
- A memory aid prepared in advance
- A calculator
- A ruler, set square, compass, protractor, and graph paper
