We’ve gathered all the key information about the Secondary 4 History Ministry exam, including the exam date, evaluation criteria, allowed materials, and resources to help you support your child’s preparation.
The official 2025 Ministry exam for History of Quebec and Canada will take place on June 13, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The exam covers content from the following four historical periods and social realities:
The exam includes 23 questions divided into three sections:
Section A: 21 questions involving intellectual operations
Section B: 1 question requiring a description of a historical period
Section C: 1 question assessing your child’s ability to explain a social phenomena in the program
No reference materials (e.g., notes, dictionaries, textbooks) or electronic devices are allowed during the exam.
