2025 MINISTRY EXAM PREPARATION

Exam Information
Exam date
The official 2025 Ministry exam for History of Quebec and Canada will take place on June 13, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Objectives
The exam covers content from the following four historical periods and social realities:
- 1840–1896: Formation of the Canadian Federal System
- 1896–1945: Nationalisms and the autonomy of Canada
- 1945–1980: Modernization of Quebec and the Quiet Revolution
- 1980 to today: Societal Choices in Contemporary Quebec
The exam includes 23 questions divided into three sections:
Section A: 21 questions involving intellectual operations
Section B: 1 question requiring a description of a historical period
Section C: 1 question assessing your child’s ability to explain a social phenomena in the program
Permitted Materials
No reference materials (e.g., notes, dictionaries, textbooks) or electronic devices are allowed during the exam.
